COMMUNITY
The core values of R. C. Stevens Construction include active
corporate citizenship. We provide a variety of services to
support our community. As a Top 100 Company of Working Families,
R.C. Stevens understands the value of achieving balance between
work, family and community; embracing community initiatives
is a key piece of our strategic plan and mission statement:
“We build our business through partnerships
by exceeding expectations through performance, training, and
education while actively supporting our community.”
The company, its employees and their families continually
reach out to lend a hand both literally and financially to
enhance the quality of life in Central Florida. Annually,
we support the American Cancer Society by raising money for
this worthwhile cause. We also participate in the Insurance
Office of America’s corporate 5k benefiting the Christian
Service Center, IOA Foundation, Orlando Runners Club and the
Parramore Kidz Zone; and Walk Now for Autism benefiting Autism
Speaks. In lieu of an employee gift exchange, we have a year
end holiday tradition of collecting employee donations that
are matched by the company, and then donated to a needy cause.
R.C. Stevens provided free construction management services
as an “in-kind” donation for a 5,000sf Health
Clinic for the Health Care Center for the Homeless, a nonprofit
organization providing quality medical, dental and optometry
care to the poor and uninsured.
With the financial assistance of our loyal subcontractors,
R. C. Stevens also funded a complete renovation of The American
Cancer Society’s Patient Services department as well
as the Boy Scout’s Camp-La-No-Che gateway project.
Employees are very active in the community and support numerous
local, civic, charitable boards and professional organizations,
including the Historical Society of Central Florida’s
Past President’s Council, The Orlando Regional Chamber
of Commerce, Orange County’s Development Advisory Board,
Central Florida Builders’ Exchange, Leadership Orlando,
Associated Builders and Contractors (local, state and national
boards), Health Central Hospital, West Orange YMCA, West Orange
Chamber, Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, First United Methodist
Church Board of Trustees and Building and Finance committees,
Habitat for Humanity, NAWIC’s annual CADD/Drafting competition
and Block Kids Building Program, and the Central Florida Boy
Scout Council.
Through these partnerships and years of community involvement,
the
R.C. Stevens team moves beyond business success to being truly
significant in its community.
